About Us
Bill Hewett is the owner of Hewett’s Honey Farm in Duncanville, Alabama. I was born and raised in the Tuscaloosa area. I began beekeeping as a hobby with no intention of turning it into a business. However, as the number of hives I owned increased, so did the costs of my hobby.
So I began selling some of my honey to help defray the costs of my hobby and I have learned that there is a large worldwide market for 100% natural honey. From there I concentrated on increasing our yearly production of honey while maintaining its natural purity. I currently own about 70 colonies of honeybees strategically located throughout Tuscaloosa and Hale counties and I have plans to increase that number in the future.
I am retired from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 372 and I am an ordained minister. I currently serves as the pastor of the Southridge Community Church in Duncanville, Alabama. I earned a bachelors degree in theology from Baptist Bible College in Graceville, Florida.
